I was able to stock up with the Walgreen's $5 off $25 purchase 4 day deal they had last week. It was a great week since you could use coupons to get the $25 total down and you could combine the multiple Register Reward deals to make out great. I was able to roll the RR to use very minimal out of pocket and I still have almost $100 left in RR! It wasn't one of my biggest shopping deals, but for the limited time I had I think I did great.

I ended up with:
5 packages of 20 Dayquil
5 packages of 20 Nyquil
5 Free boxes of Puff WYB 2 Vicks products
15 boxes of 40 count Excedrin Express gels
12 Reach toothbrushes
2 Reach dental floss
15 Walitin (plus will get $10.50 credit on my W card)
12 12-packs of Diet Coke
24 2L of Diet Coke

Walgreens will be having the $5 Holiday RR with a $25 purchase again this week from Wednesday through Saturday, but I do not think the deals will be as great, but if you are shopping there anyway, it is a good savings :)

I will post more as I find more deals!

I added a CBox!

At the bottom of the blog I added a CBox so people can leave comments, post questions and leave their email addresses if they want me to keep them updated on my website and to be notified when it is up and going. I am planning for the site to be working by the first of the year, but I am surprise myself and get it up sooner. Keep your fingers crossed for me! Also if I have an email list I can send out notifications when I add a new post. Let me know what you want on my blog and I will do my best to make it happen. Hopefully people will enjoy having the blog be a little more interactive.

Have a great week,
Karen

Thanks Oprah! Free Customized Snapfish Photo Album

Yesterday on Oprah she gave away free photo albums from Snapfish.com. This is a deal she offered to her viewers. You need to sign up for a Snapfish account by Friday, November 14th at 11:59 pm PST to take advantage of the offer. I believe if you have an account you can still get the deal just click on the second link I have. You can have one account per email address.

If you haven’t signed up before at Snapfish, make sure you sign up for 50 free prints first. A lot of links offer you 20 Free prints, I preferred to use the one for 50 FREE :) I found it on the internet and it worked for me. I used the link at

50 FREE Prints from Snapfish

A lot of the sites offer 20 free prints this one offers 50, then I logged out and signed in under

FREE Photo Album

this way I made sure I got the most FREE!

This is a great offer. These books are so cute. They usually sell for $29.99. You will need to pay for shipping which is $5.99, but this is a bargain for what you are getting! The books have to be completed by Sunday, so you need to start taking pictures now or use ones you already have. It looks pretty easy to make the books and they are really nice quality. One of the ladies at work did one for her vacation and it was very nice.

I hope everyone has fun making their books. Think Christmas presents.

WOW.. you have got to love couponing about now!

Starting Wednesday there is a new Albertson's ad out and the deals are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! with an extra ZING thrown in! Some are calling it the sale of the year. With the economy as tenuous as it is, this is a great sale to help us realize what couponing can do to help your family.

The first thing you need to do is go to the coupon link at the bottom of my blog and print off any coupons which are Betty Crocker, General Mills, Pillsbury, or Macaroni Grill.

Do it now.. I will wait :)

Once the the coupons are printed, you are on your way to great savings!

I have to dissect the ad, but for those of you who know how to do it, there are items ranging from $.09 to $.50 for GREAT products!

The deal is for you to spend $30, then you will get either ONE $15 OYNO coupon (on your next order.. no matter what you buy) or it might print out THREE $5 coupons. This is probably better so y0u can spend and choose.

I will print a list tomorrow, but a few highlights are:

Small and Mighty laundry soap, for those of you who have been around awhile, you know we got a great deal about 8 months ago when it was $1.50 with coupons and specials... this week if you work it all, it will be .... TA DA... $.67 to $1.17

Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Cups will be... FREE

Best Foods Mayo.... $.65

Betty Crocker Cookie pouches.. IF you click on my link for coupons below... $.09!

Hamburger Helper... $.59

Betty Crocker Potato Pouches... $.10 to $.15 if you printed from my link!

This is just a few to look forward to!

This will be an awesome sale!

******this is an early added bonus for those who actually read the whole blog :)*******

As per an email from the CEO of Kmart...
there WILL BE DOUBLE COUPONS... for ALL Kmarts... November 30th through December 6th. This will be a whole week of savings, right in the middle of holiday shopping! What a great justification to spend more on those presents!

If you have a Super Kmart.... you will have an added Double coupon deal for November 12 through 16th. These are the Kmarts with grocery stores. If I didn't already have a prior commitment that weekend I would be heading to Vegas to get some deals!

So everyone remember, you can learn to be a Coupon Queen and save money on your family's groceries. My new website will be up and going soon and I will have lessons to teach you all about using coupons and saving the most money possible. Thank you for all of your support!

Happy Shopping!

Last minute Halloween Candy

If you haven’t bought your Halloween candy there are a couple ways to get your candy fairly cheap today.

Using your coupons
SS 9/28 $1/3 Hersheys, Reeses & Kit Kats
RP 10/12 $1/2 Mars brands: M&Ms, Snickers, Milky Way, etc

At Smith’s from 3 to 11 pm they are having a Moonlight Madness Sale
Hershey candy will be on sale for 3/$5 or $1.67 minus the coupon on 3 will be $1.34 a bag
If you spend $15 on Hershey candy, you will get a catalina for $5 off your next order. To do this you would need to buy
9 bags for $15
Minus 3 $1/3 coupons
Total will be $12
And you will get the $5 back so it equals out to 9 bags at $.77 each
I f you prefer Mars they will also be on sale for $1.67 minus the $1/2 coupon for $1.17 a bag

Remember these coupons expire on Halloween, so you only have today and tomorrow to use them.

If you want to brave Kmart and the double coupons, you can have the coupons doubled. The candy is $1.67 with the coupon doubled for either $.66 a bag or $1 depending on the coupon. Cheap candy. At this price, I think I am going to get some to save for my holiday baking.

Have a great day!

Amazing Kmart shopping!

Wow! That is all I can say!

I will have to list deals I got tomorrow, but let me just say it rocked! I did two orders. First one was to test the waters and make sure it worked as planned. Our Kmart was not planning to do the doubles, so their cash registers are not programmed for the deal. This is a plus since the cashiers just double the coupon and do not search for overages. I hadn't planned on overages, so at the last minute I had to add a $4.79 tote and the cashier still could not double all the coupons.
My store savings was $26.37
My coupon savings was $139.50
I paid $9.85
Tax was $8.36
so before tax I paid $1.29 for the 54 items!

My next order...
My store savings was $58.29
My coupon savings was $326.15
I paid $23.54
Tax was $19.68
I got a $2 Register Reward on my next order (which can be doubled!)
so before tax I paid $3.86 but minus my RR would be FREE for 110 items!

I had to buy a shirt for Sam, a $10 bag of parrot food and 3 $7 Thermacare products for Mike to cover my overages for the 2nd order. It was a lot of fun and my friends did just as well. One had a cashier who didn't know you had to pay the tax so she actually had the cashier give her money back! What a great day! I hope you all can share your savings here for everyone to see.

If you want to email me, I can post your comments and pictures right here on my blog
or send me the link to your blog so I can have people check out all the coupon queens!

I will try to post my pictures and explanations of the deals tomorrow.

WOO HOO!! Double Coupons at Kmart !

Starting Sunday, Oct 26th through November 1st, our local Kmart is hosting Double Coupons! It will be a whole week event. I spoke with the store manager, Elaine and she confirmed this to be true.

They will be doubling coupons up to $2. So a $2 coupon becomes worth $4. You can use 4 like coupons for a total of 75 coupons. They do not accept printed internet coupons. There are a lot of great coupons out there which will make many items FREE. So check out your coupons and start getting things organized for the sale. I can't wait to hear what everyone is getting. Feel free to share your comments here so others can learn more.

FREE stuff from VistaPrint

Because I am setting up the website, I was interested when I saw an email about free business cards. VistaPrint has a great offer going on right now on personalized items. Click on the site VistaPrint and click on the link on the left for FREE items. I was able to get:
250 business cards
1 personalized pen
1 personalized return address stamp (Mike and I got ours 6 years ago when we moved in and it is getting low on ink)
1 car door magnet

Now, I know a lot of people can not use these items unless you have a business, but when we moved here I got "business cards" with my new address and phone numbers to send to friends and give to new acquaintances.
the personalized pen can be for one of your kids or spouse telling them how much you love them :)
Everyone can use a return address stamp or can give it as a gift
and you can make a Happy Birthday or Merry Christmas car door magnet

All the items were free and all I had to pay was shipping. I think it was $6.15. The link VistaPrint also gives you 25% off other items. I actually bought some really cute Christmas cards and a few other things I can use. I chose the "SLOW" shipping 21 days since I am not in a hurry for the items, it was cheaper to ship this way.

Check it out. Once you order something, they will send you special deals for more FREE things.

Happy shopping!

Just in time for Christmas!

I just learned about a website where you can make money back from your online purchases. It is Shop at Home. It is a "rebate" site. When are going to buy something online, you just link through their site to the website you are looking for and you will get a certain percent of your order back. I just bought Mike some Levis from Sears. I clicked on the Shop at Home link and typed in Sears. It showed a 2% rebate. I spent $60, so I will be credited $1.20. It might not sound like much, but by the time I do all my Christmas shopping, I am sure it will all add up. Plus you get a $5 bonus the first time you buy something through the website. So actually I got $6.20. The different stores all have their own rebate amount which is between 1 and 30%. It is free to join and you can still use discount codes. The only difference is you need to click their link before you check out to get credit for the rebate. The link to sign up is on the left side of my blog. Here are a few of the rebates:
Avon 6%
Aeropostale 3%
American Greeting 20%
ITunes 3%
Dell 2%

Sorry it has been so long!

Sorry it has been a week since I have posted, but I have been working on some new things to help everyone out. I met with a couple of Webmasters last night to discuss making a real website! It is going to take a lot of work, but I am looking forward to the new project.

I will better be able to teach people how to save money and make the site interactive so everyone can participate and share their great deals, ask questions and learn from one another. If anyone has ideas of what they think they want to see on my website let me know. Feel free to email me .

I did add a new feature here which will be on the new site. Scroll down and you will see a link to Coupons.Inc. You can look at the new coupons available right from my site (or for now the blog) and print from here rather than having to go look for the coupons.

I have a lot of great ideas I think everyone will like, so please stick with me as we develop something new and FUN! Look at the coupons below for starters. It is a new set up the company is starting. We are one of the few to get to try it out. If you do not want to print all the coupons, click on the arrow to see the coupons first. Then it will give you a list to pick and choose. I know it is something new and different, but give it a try and let me know what you think.

I do have a couple things to share:

Save $1.50 and $1 on Colgate toothpaste, $1 on Softsoap

Sign up at Wendy’s for coupons. You will get a $1 off coupon within a week and special promotions.

Sorry the tip about double coupons at KMart not working out this week, but I did hear they had such an outcry regarding this week's deal that they are planning to do a NATIONWIDE DOUBLE COUPON deal for everyone starting in the next week or two. Keep your coupons ready!

Thanks again to all of you for your support!

More KMart Doubles! So much for so little!!

Today is the last day for DOUBLE coupons at Kmart. My secret info says it might occur again on Oct 15. I mentioned this to the manager at our Kmart . He said it was a rumor and we would see.

I wanted to try the Double Coupons again at Kmart, so I got the coupons more organized. I actually broke down and am trying the binder method. I must admit it was easier to find my coupons. I am going to have to perfect the system, but I think it might be the way to go.

My friend De and I headed to Kmart. We called Lydia to ask a question about a coupon and she happened to be in the parking lot, heading into the store so the three of us started shopping. We then called Nancy and told her to stop organizing her coupons and come meet us… now we were four! There were a few fellow doublers shopping, but not as many as I would have expected. We ran into Brandy from Cedar City and two of her cute kids. I hope to see her deals on her blog. We shopped for about two 1/2 hours and all got some great deals. There were a few problems with cashiers not knowing how to double the coupons, but all in all it was a great experience. This is what I bought.

My cashier was a very nice young man who rang up my order, scanned all my coupons and then pressed the wrong button before doubling the coupons so the poor guy had to void out the order and start again. It was a hassle for him, but he was great.

It is hard to see everything I bought in the big picture so here is the breakdown:

4 Herbal Essence styling products FREE plus profit with $2 coupons
4 Pert shampoo FREE with $2 coupons
3 Gillette shampoo for men FREE with $2 coupons
4 Sunsilk shampoo and conditioners FREE with $1.50 coupons

6 Carefree $.29 with $1 coupons
2 Clearasil $.49 with $2 coupons
4 Colgate toothpaste FREE with $1 coupons
2 Reach flosser refills $.19 with $2 coupons
2 Reach dental floss FREE plus profit with $2 coupons
2 Bumble Bee albacore tuna pouches FREE with $1 coupons
2 bumble Bee albacore tuna cans FREE plus profit with $1 coupons
6 Glade candle refills FREE plus profit with B2G1F coupons and $2 coupons
4 Renuzit spray (like Febreze) $.40 with $1 coupons
2 Renuzit pearls $.50 with $1 coupons
1 Scott 400 ct napkins $.49 with $1 coupon

My total after doubling my coupons was $3.20 plus tax! Everyone did amazingly well, getting so much for so little! We were all pretty tired after the shopping adventure so we met our husbands at De’s for dinner (thanks, De!) and to show off our deals. Family, Friends, Food and FREE stuff… It was the perfect ending to a great couponing day!

Albertson’s Terrific Deal $3 off $10 on specific products

WATCHING THE DEALS... SOMETIMES THEY SOUND GOOD, BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO STEP UP AND TAKE THE TIME TO DO THEM. WHEN DO YOU GET UP AND DO A DEAL OR THINK "WISH I WOULD HAVE...." LATER? I COULD HAVE MISSED THIS DEAL TOO... LUCKILY, I DID NOT MISS THIS AWESOME SALE!

Coke products 2 L, on sale for $1, buy 10, minus $3, total $7

Ronzoni Pasta meals, on sale for $2, buy 10, minus $6, total $4

Softsoap, on sale for $1, buy 10, minus $3, minus $.35 coupons, total $3.50

Hershey Baking Chips, on sale for $1, buy 10, minus $3, total $7

Zone Perfect bars, on sale for $1, buy 20, minus $6, minus $1 coupons, total FREE PLUS $6 PROFIT

Glade Oil Plug Ins, on sale for $4.99, buy 6, minus 3 B1G1F, minus 3 FREE coupons, total FREE, PLUS 6 $2 ONYO catalinas which print immediately. My cashier gave them to me to use.

Coke products $7.00
Ronzoni $4.00
Softsoap $3.50
Hershey chips $7.00
Zone bars -$6.00
Glade -$12.00
TOTAL $3.50

This is an awesome deal. Even at prices before coupons this is a great deal… When did you last get a 2L Coke product for $.70? Or Hershey Chocolate Chips for $.70???? Add this to coupons.. HELLO! It is a no brainer! I mentioned the deal to friends, hopefully everyone took advantage of the sale.

I work full time. I had to decide what deals were better for me to do this week. I LOVE Walgreen’s. But this week I had to lean toward Albertsons and the Kmart Double Coupon Deal to make it an awesome couponing week. I can still go to Walgreen’s tomorrow or the next day and I will get awesome deals, but this week I had to make choices and I think I made some good ones!

LOOK ABOVE… I got 66 items for $3.50 plus tax. This equal less than $.06 an item. See what I got? I was so excited, I just had to share with everyone!

KMart Double Coupons Shopping Trip

Well, the Kmart Doubles worked in St George. I called the store and asked the girl who answered the phone if they were doubling coupons. She said, “No, we do not do that.” I asked to speak with the manager. I explained I had a letter from corporate stating all KMarts were doubling coupons. He confirmed this saying they were indeed doubling coupons if the customer requested it. I asked if I should bring in my letter and he said the cashiers and mangers knew about the special. I thanked him and began my planning. Thursday after work I did a test run. I did not have any idea what coupons I would need for the sale so it was not as profitable as I had hoped, but I did get about $80 worth of products for $ 14.XX. I was not complaining, but I wasn’t getting much for FREE, just a good savings. Things like some of the toothpastes and toothbrushes, along with cleaning products were still cheaper on sale with regular coupons than at Kmart doing doubles. After coupons, I did get:
dog treats for $1 or less
8 packs of Scott paper towels for $3
carpet deodorizers for $.19
FREE shampoo
FREE soap
FREE Easy Mac meal cups

A few things rang up higher than I thought I remembered seeing, but after a day at work and wanting to get home, I decided not to dispute a couple dollars. Not that it is good not to follow up on receipt errors, but sometimes rest is more important than the battle. I do not condone this, but I needed to get home, rest up and plan for my trip today. I had months of coupon inserts to go through to get things ready. I am not one who cuts out all my coupons when I get them and end up throwing a lot of unused coupons away when they expire. I keep my coupons in the in weekly inserts intact so I will be able to find what I need when I need it, rather than waste time up front cutting. This is a good method for me, but I am sure you can see the downside as well. There are times when I see something on special or clearance and do not have the coupon. Personally or me, I feel the risk out ways the lost time from clipping and organizing, but that is just a personal preference. Back to the facts of last night, I stayed up LATE getting all the coupons I thought I might use picked out, cut out and into a semi organized state.

Today Lydia and I went to Kmart after a wonderful relaxing lunch with friends (hi, De and Raven!) We were ready to hit the deals. While my coupons were not well organized in my box, we managed to do some damage to Kmart’s bottom line  My total before coupons was $170 +, I paid $8.86 for tax which worked out as $3.41 before taxes for 60 items. It was awesome!

Clearasil items regularly $8.79 on clearance for $4 … FREE with $2 coupons
Clearasil items priced $4.79… $.79 with $2 coupons
Colgate toothpaste big 8.2 oz tubes on sale $2 … FREE with $1 coupons
Gillette Men’s Shampoo on sale for $4…. FREE with $2 coupons
Visine for $3.99….. FREE with $2 coupon
Sunsilk Shampoo, Conditioner and styling aids $3… FREE with $1.50 coupons
Reach Access Flossing system for $2.69 … FREE PLUS PROFIT with $2 coupon
Herbal Essence Styling products for $3.79… FREE PLUS PROFIT with $2 coupon
Pert Plus Shampoo/Conditioner for $2.99… FREE with $1.50 coupons
Whiskas cat food for $1.39… FREE plus profit with $1.50 coupons
Pounce cat treats for 1.29… FREE plus profit with $1.50 coupons
Resolve Rug Cleaner Spray on sale for $4.50… $.50 after $2 coupons
Endust for $3.29… FREE plus profit after $2 coupons
Glade Plug ins for $1.79… FREE after B1G1 coupons
Hormel Compleats $2.. $.50 after $.75 coupons
Clorox Toilet cleaner for $2.29… $.79 after $.75 coupon
Old El Paso taco shells for $1… FREE after $1/2 coupon
Old El Paso soft taco shells for $1… FREE after $1/2 coupon
Old El Paso Dinner Kits for $1.50… $.50 after $1/2 coupons
Albacore Tuna for $2… FORGOT to give the cashier the coupon… $2

Of course I bought multiples, usually 4 of each item to give me the best savings. We had a great time and saved a bunch. I just wish we could have double coupons ALL THE TIME! WOW…. Imagine if they did this at Albertson’s!!!

Happy shopping to all.

Things you should never pay for… at least not much: PART ONE

Toilet paper: This is my most recent purchase of TP… FORTY SIX 4 packs of Scott’s Extra Soft Toilet Paper. It was on sale for $1 PLUS I had coupons for $2/2 packs. Great deal, huh? Well, it got better when I found there was an unadvertised Kimberly Clark Catalina at Albertson’s. I happened to come across the deal when I bought the original 26 packages it spit out a $5 OYNO (on your next order) Catalina when you spent $20 on KC product. I later went back for another 20 packs. Not bad to make $10 and get 184 rolls of FREE toilet paper! Of course you can not always get paid to take items out of the store, but amazingly, it is more common than you would think.

Shampoo: I have not paid for shampoo in probably 8 years. When we moved from Salt Lake I brought a big box of what was left from my stash up north. Since moving down south I have only continued my deal making and now have enough shampoo and conditioner for a couple years if not longer. I have a ton of product which we use, give away to friends and family and donate. It seems I never get low because there is always another great deal to be found. I get good deals from watching the sales, using my coupons and looking for Catalina deals. I do not have to use store brands to get them free. I have Loreal, Dove, Herbal Essence, Pantene, Infusium and my latest haul was on John Frieda. As you all know, these products can be expensive. I usually get the regular size bottles, but last year was able to get the large family size bottles… over 30 bottles FREE. Again, FREE is good, but my John Frieda deal was a money maker.

John Frieda was $5.99 a bottle at Walgreen’s. This included shampoo, conditioner and hair care products. They had it on sale for B1G1 50% off. There were $3/2 coupons out for the deal.
2 John Frieda items @ $5.99 $11.98
50% off one -$3.00
$3 /2 coupon -$3.00
two products $5.98

Less than $6 for two bottles of John Frieda is not a bad deal, but I am much too cheap to pay that much for even really good shampoo. Lucky for me there was a Refund Reward (RR) for $9 OYNO which printed out each time I purchased two JF items. I gave them $6 and they gave me $9 and two bottles of John Frieda! I was paid $1.50 for each bottle I “bought.” After special ordering the products in advance, I came home with over 40 products and over $60 extra!

Soap or body wash: In March there was a great at Walgreens that ended on a Saturday and another great sale starting on Sunday so we had a Girls’ Weekend Out in Vegas. Olay soap was on sale for $2 for a 2 pack of soap. There were $2 off coupons, so FREE soap. But again there was a great RR available. Buy 2 packs of soap for $4 and get a $4 RR. So For every two packages of soap I got FREE I was “paid” $4! I think I came home with about 50 packages of soap, 28 bottles of shampoo, a bunch of other bargains and an extra $130!

KMart Doubling Coupons Oct 1-5 up to $2

WOW!!! This is amazing. I know KMart has been doing this around the country in specific test markets. I have been jealous to hear of all the great bargains people have been getting, but I just heard they are asking ALL KMarts to honor this deal, IF the customer requests it! Well, I can tell you I am going to be requesting it! I am waiting for an email to be forwarded to me that was sent out from the corporate office so I can carry it with me to the store. This is what it says:

Going overboard

I sometimes have to remind myself about this concept. It is really easy to go overboard if you get caught up in a deal. For example, I did this once with the Quaker Oats deal at Albertson’s. I got a ton of things free or pretty close to free. Oatmeal, breakfast bars, instant oatmeal, oatmeal to go… I had a ton of products on my shelf. Hello… what was I thinking? It was like pulling teeth to get my family to eat any of these items. There is no reason for me to buy this stuff, even if it is free if no one is going to eat it. Luckily, I gave it away to people who would use it. Each time the Quaker deal comes up, I have to remind myself of this.

Along this same topic is buying more than you could possibly use. If something has an expiration date, I try to decide how many of these items I can actually use before it would expire and buy accordingly. Buying something you will not use is not saving you money, so before going crazy on a deal, take a minute to think about it. If it is a money maker like some of the Walgreen’s deals, go ahead and buy the items, but make sure you give it away or donate it before it expires. I am doing this with all the Robitussin I got. There is no way my family and friends will use that much Robitussin, but if they are going to pay me $7 to take 3 of them out of the store, I am going to do it. I have a box of 30 Robitussin and 4 glucose monitors I am bringing to the free clinic in town.

As for non perishables, my belief is if it does not expire and it is free stock up…. IF YOU HAVE THE ROOM. (I added this for my husband, this is his only issue with my shopping addiction.) I have enough shampoo, deodorant, air fresheners and cleaning products to last quite awhile. Do I get funny looks when I am buying multiples of items? Sometimes, but I just smile kowing how much I am saving.

Last week I had a friend call me about some expiring coupons she had. They were for FREE dog food. She was not feeling well and wanted me to help her daughter use the coupons. I met her at the store and we got 130 cans of dog food for tax only. Her dog will be eating for free for quite some time and her daughter learned about using coupons, it was a good day!

The Zone Perfect deal ending Tuesday

Zone bars are on sale 10/$10. If you buy 10 of them you'll get $3 off instantly. Use the $1 coupons out for them and get them all free plus $3 profit for each ten to be used towards other stuff in your order.

Don't forget for the entire month of Oct. the Glade Scented Gel Plugins are FREE at Walgreen's. They are regular price $1.99 and there are $1 peelies on them. There are also BOGO coupons from the 9/14 inserts, and bogo coupons available on www.glade.com

Also, if you can find the Gel Plugins at Albertson’s or Smith’s they are on sale for $1.79. For each one you buy you can get a $2 catalina, so you are making money to bring them home. I have not been able to find them in St George as they are always out of stock, but I did find them in Mesquite and was able to use my B1G1F coupons, so I paid $1.79 and got $4 back. If you have the B1G1F coupons for the Oil Warmers, they are $5.39 and you will get 2 $2 catalinas. Some packages of the Oil Warmer refills have coupons for FREE oil warmers, so you can make $2 profit from eash Warmer. Again, I found these in Mesquite.

I feel bad I do not have more to share, but I have a couple articles I have written this past week that I want to share on the blog about couponing and as a TEASE... what you should NEVER pay for! I have pics and fun stories about the shopping experience. I WILL post more this week. As a heads up. Albertson's sale this week is nothing to write home about, but if you like Crocs, you can get a FREE pair for buying $25 worth of certain merchandise this coming week. Personally, I love my crocks, but deals need to be looked at. None of them looked that great to me. Buy the $25 worth and you will get a catalina coupon for the FREE Crocs. It is limited to ONE per address.

As an update about the Glen Muir tomatoes... I must add a WOOHOO thank you to Joe for all his hard work in trying to get us (Joe, Steph and myself) the tomatoes! He has gone OUT of any expectation to make sure we have the great deal. THANK YOU, JOE! Unfortunately, the tomatoes are back ordered and the coupons EXPIRE tomorrow.. 9/30.

I called my local Albertson's and explained the situation. Mike Rawlings the manager of our 3 Albie's is out of town. I spoke with Gary at Bluff Street, he is the acting manager, he PROMISED to accept the coupon PAST THE EXPIRATION DATE! Thank you, to Albie's for stepping up in a messed up situation. Joe who is the ordering guru said he would be lucky to get a few cases as Richfield, UT ordered 89 cases they did not get! WOW... I was feeling bad ordering 18 cases for three of us! WOW!

MAKE SURE TO GET A RAINCHECK BY 9/30! Order what you want and print the coupons... NOW!

I will add more tomorrow.... thanks

Internet Printer Coupons

The internet has done a lot for the couponer by providing internet coupons. Sometimes there are some great deals to be found using the printed coupons.

An important thing to remember is to NEVER make copies of your coupons. This is illegal and can get you into BIG TIME trouble. Each coupon has it’s own unique validation code so you can point this out to cashiers who are worried that you might have copied the coupons. Each validation code is linked to your specific computer and if the company wants to track you down through your ISP they can. So please realize it is not worth saving a few dollars by copying coupons. People have been prosecuted for this type of fraud. Enough said on that 

There are many sites which provide coupons on a routine basis, such as

www.coupons.com
www.coolsaving.com
www.smartsource.com
http://www.boxtops4education.com/Coupons/

Most sites you can print from will only allow you to print TWO coupons per computer. Sometimes this is a sufficient amount or there are times you will want more than two. If this is the case use different computers. At my home we have three computers so I usually am able to print six coupons. You can also ask friends and coworkers to print coupons for you using their computers. Make sure you are not using computers at your place of employment if you feel this will get you in trouble. Again, saving a few dollars is not worth losing a job over.

Sometimes there are coupons that a company will put out to get consumers to try their products. These are usually available on the company’s website to access by the public. If you know there is product you want to buy, you can look at the website and see if there are any coupons. Let’s say you want to buy some Betty Crocker items on sale. You can go to the their website
www.bettycrocker.com
once there you can look to see if there are coupons offered. In the right upper corner there is a link for coupons. Click that link
Betty Crocker Coupons and you will see the coupons available from Betty Crocker.

Duncan Hines is on sale at Albertsons this week. At the Duncan Hines site there are coupons available.

Duncan Hines Carrot Cake $1
Duncan Hines Frosting $.50

http://www.duncanhines.com/carrotcake/

There are also coupons which can be sent to you in your email if you have signed up at various websites. Below is a coupon I was sent for Orville Redenbacher popcorn.

Popcorn Coupons

It is a pretty good coupon $1/1 and does not expire until the end of the year so I printed it and am saving it for a sale. You do not know when a printable coupon will no longer be available, so if you really think you will use the coupon, it might be a good idea to print it out when you see it, but then there is the fact that some coupons online have only a short lifespan, 2 weeks to 1 month and when ever you print it starts that time frame, so it is up to you when you decide to print the coupons. I know it is confusing and I am not sure I explained it right, but if you have questions just ask me for clarification.

$2/1 Bertolli Oven Baked Meal

To get 5 $1 coupons from fastfixin.com plus you can sign up for a program to get a FREE item every 10 you buy.

Here is a $5.50 coupon you can print for Zantac. You will need to add a UPC code. You can use: 012547684049

Zantac

Here is a Glade Flameless Candle coupon. It is for Buy One Get One Free (B1G1F)

Healthy Choice Steamers $1/2 coupons

So that is a brief overview on internet coupons and some to try out!

Refunds and Register Rewards... so much money!

I am not a great rebate person. I have been known, and re-known…. MANY TIMES to buy the items with grand plans to get the item FREE and then “forget” to send in the rebate or miss a deadline due to procrastination. I am the queen of that! BUT… there are great deals out there for those of you with more will power and a not so laid back personality 

This month at Walgreen there are many items you can get FREE when you buy them now and submit a rebate. Walgreen’s now allows online submission of rebates so you do not have to clip proof of purchases or send in forms and receipts. It is a great idea for folks like me. Another terrific thing about Walgreen’s rebates is if you request your rebate in the worm of a Walgreen’s gift card, they will add 10% back to you card. So lets say this month you are getting $20 back in rebates, Walgreen’s will put $22 on your gift card. You can even submit the number of a gift card you have in hand to get the refund available sooner than having them mail out a new card. It is a great program, one I plan to start to use more!

Here are a few of the deals I feel are promising. Buying Free After Rebate (FAR) items are a great way to spend your RR. This is a fast way to convert them wither into cash or Walgreen’s card plus the 10% bonus! Here are a few deals for this week:

Another Walgreen’s great deal this week is the Nabisco cookies. Buy 2 for $5, add 1 gallon milk… get $3 RR back. The deal gets better. The computer is not programmed to look for the milk. You can buy the cookies for $5 and get $3 off. This is NOT cheating. It is how the computer is programmed. I figure $1 Oreos are a great deal.

Then next deal is the Crest Pro Health Mouthwash 500 ml for $4.49 and get a $4.50 RR.

Another is the Reach Toothbrushes or dental floss. Buy 2 for $5 get $5 RR back.

To “ROLL” the deal you should first buy the cookies. Out Of Pocket (OOP) is $5. If you have RR from the previous week this will reduce your OOP. You will get a new RR for $3.

Use the $3 RR on the next deal of Mouthwashfor $4.49, your next OOP is 1.49 (total OOP now $6.50) You will get another RR for $4.50.

Use the $4.50 to buy the toothbrushes or dental floss for $5. Your OOP will be $.50 for a total OOP $7. You will get another $5 RR. This can be spent on another set of cookies for $5 where you will get $3 back. You can continue to roll the RR and deals or if you stopped now you would have spent $7 OOP, you would still have a $3 RR so really your OOP is $4. But you will have:

4 packages of cookies @ $2.50 for total of $10
1 mouthwash at $4.49
2 toothbrushes or floss @ 2.50 for total of $5

So essentially you brought home $19.49 worth (at sale prices) of items for $4! For a savings of 79.5%

Not a bad shopping deal! Keep looking for new combinations. I miss deals… please share with the blog.

Have a great week!

Little extras

Sign up for a FREE mini Mr Clean Mini Eraser. Register at teh site and you will get the sample in the mail. I love these, but they get used up faster than I think they are worth. Just my opinion. Then again it is a FREE SAMPLE

The holidays are coming so this means extra baking for a lot of us. There is a great coupon available, especially if we can combine it with a baking sale.
$1.50/1 Nestle Toll House Morsels
Once you sign up, there is a banner at the bottom of the page to click on for the coupon. It is very obvious :) You should be able to print two from each computer.

ESPECIALLY for STEPHANIE M... A WW deal!

There is a promotion going on right now. You need to register if you buy WeightWatchers items.

Sign up then you can send in your proof of purchases, usually the UPC code to get credited for the prizes.

Once you register they send you an email and you have to click that link to get yourself set up. At the site they have a list of the eligible products and the points they are worth plus the gifts and such you can get. You have to send in the upcs (no reciepts - yea!!!) - you can send reciepts only for the yogurt as you don't have to cut the upcs off of those. Once you send the upcs with the claim form personalized at the site, they will load your points and you can order your items! God... I PRAY this works.. a little prayer saves more than my heart!

Let me know if there are questions.

Along with the Malt O Meal cereal deal this week, Albertson’s also has Glen Muir Organic tomatoes on sale for $1 for the 15 oz can. You can get $1 off coupons at this site GLEN MUIR

You can print as many as you want, but you might be disappointed when you go to the store. My Albertson’s only had a small section allotted for this brand and it was pretty much all gone. I was able to get less than 10 cans. I did have the grocery manager special order 24 cans of the fire roasted tomatoes and another 24 cans of tomatoes with basil. Other kinds of Muir Glen available include the tomato sauce and regular diced.
If the store does not have what you want in stock, remember they can order it for you, but remember to get a rain check so you can still get the sale price. Just a word of caution… Albertson’s rain checks are now only good for 30 days. If the store does not have your item restocked by the end of the 30 days, you can have the rain check reissued for another 30 days. This is a pain, so if you do not think they will have the number items you want, it is best to have the grocery manager special order them for you.

Powerade 32 oz is on sale this week for $.69. This alone is a great deal if people at your house drink this, but there is a Catalina deal going on right now. If you buy 6 Powerade Zero you will get a Catalina for $4. This makes them $.14 for 6 bottles! You can then use the $4 catalina to buy another 6 and so on and so on!

Target has school supplies on clearance for 75% off. There are some great deals going on. I was able to get a 5 pack of 70 page notebooks for $.12! The Papermate 10 packs of pens, blue, black or red are marked down to $.12 as well. Backpacks are included in the sale as well. Most are marked between $3 and $8. The Dollar spot in Target is having 75% clearance on the BLUE dot items. Green dots are still $1. I was able to get scissors, notepads, socks, 2 pack gift bags and other items for $.25.

The Vegas Adventure!

OK… We did our big Walgreen’s trip to Vegas on Saturday. It was AMAZING! It was Lydia, Nancy, Christine, Paula and me as we headed out on the adventure. And what an adventure it turned out to be. We left St George about 10 am and didn’t get back until 2:00 am Sunday. To be honest, I am not sure how many Walgreen’s we went to in Vegas… maybe 4 or 5? But there were A LOT of products to be purchased by 5 crazy coupon women. It was a shopping frenzy. Of course going with three pregnant women did allow for food breaks and we did that big time as well! We did a whole group test run in Mesquite. We could not say anything but good about the manager and cashiers we had there. Since it was the first store for the group we did run into a few glitches like which cold medicine produced the catalinas and why some coupons were difficult to scan…. (sorry, Mesquite for using the Canadian coupons!) but overall, everyone was catching on and we had a great first haul. None of us should be having to pay full price on cleaning products or cold medicine for a VERY LONG time!

Once we got to Las Vegas it was time to eat again. We had on a previous adventure wanted to try out an Indian restraint downtown, but the gps had gotten us lost so this time I knew where to go. If you ever want to go to an Indian buffet this is the place: Gandhi India’s Cuisine on Paradise. We wished we could have stayed there longer, but there was shopping to be done! We shopped til we dropped stopping only long enough for drinks and snacks we brought from home until 10 PM when we had to finally take another food break. This time it was The Pizza Caffe on Eastern. What great food they had. Definitely a place to put on your list of places to go. It had terrific food, great décor and a cute older Italian man who served us pizza and gelato. We planned to hit one more Walgreen’s on the way back home, but by the time we were ready to stop, some of the ladies were asleep and it was after midnight so the sale was over. I do not know the totals for the rest of the girls, but this is what I came home with:

10 Crest Pro Health mouthwash
15 Fantastik spray cleaner
12 Windex spray
2 Windex Wipes
4 Shout spray
6 Shout wipes
25 Tylenol cold/sinus medicines

4 Tylenol PM
8 Oreos
10 Glade oil warmers with oil
8 Glade oil refills
14 Oust
21 Pledge
4 Scrubbing Bubbles spray
3 Scrubbing Bubbles wipes
7 Glade odor eliminator spray (like Fabreeze)
9 Robitussin
3 Quattro razors
2 Quattro razor refills
2 calculators
40 Sharpie markers
2 boxes of 25 tagalong storage containers
2 boxes Walgreens storage containers
1 training pants
1 laundry detergent
4 post it cubes
TOTAL of 219 items!
Price….. $38.xx

Oh… did I mention that total was what I came out ahead??? THEY PAID ME $38 to take home all that stuff!!!!

Needless to say, I can’t wait for another sale like that! It was a fun time and my cabinets are full!

I am working on my post about the Las Vegas Walgreen's trip. We had a GREAT time, saved a lot of money, have great stockpiles and tried some wonderful restraunts. Hopefully I will have the post and pictures up soon.

RefundCents

Everyone is always asking about how I learn about all my great deals. I use the internet to find my best bargains and save myself a lot of time. My favorite site for groceries is Pinchingyourpennies.com and for other deals Refundcents.com

It does cost to belong to RefundCents
but it is well worth the cost. If you are interested in an online only subscription it is only $12 a year. I save MUCH more than $1 a month. If you are interested in getting the magazine as well it is about $25 a year.

If you are interested in a subscription you can look at the options and sign up at:

RefundCents.com

If you have questions about either of the sites, let me know. I can give you some hints for navigating the sites.

If you have any questions you want me to discuss on my new blog, let me know.

Have a great day!

Friday I decided to test the water by hitting the local Walgreen’s in St George. I ran into Mat in the parking lot. He found out St George is a much more coupon friendly Walgreen’s than Cedar City. He said he got some great deals so I went in ready to do my best to make some money!

This is what I bought:

1 Shout spray @ $2.49 $2.49
2 Shout wipes @ $2.49 $4.98
2 Windex @ $2.49 $4.98
2 Scrubbing Bubbles@ $2.49 $4.98
These were the 7 items to qualify for the $10 Register Rewards

2 Oust spray @$2.99 $5.98

3 Robitussin @$3.99 $11.97
The 3 Robitussin qualify for another $10 RR

3 Tylenol Cold @$4.99 $14.97
The ad says buy 2 Tylenol get $2 RR, buy 3 get $4. But there was a glitch in the system so you got both a $2 RR AND a $4 RR with this combination.

As a special bonus for shoppers Walgreen’s randomly has special online coupons available. This past weekend they had a $10/$40 good for Friday and Saturday. You can sign up at Walgreens.com to get email notification of these special coupons. They have been having them once or twice a month for awhile.

These are the coupons I used:

Walgreen’s $10/40 - 10.00
3 Shout $1 3.00
2 Windex $1 2.00
2 Scrubbing Bubbles $1 2.00
B1G1F Oust 2.99
Oust $1 1.00
2 Easy Saver Oust $1 2.00
3 Robitussin $3 9.00
3 Easy Saver Tylenol $2 6.00

Total after coupons 10.08

Then I got my RR: $10 for cleaning products, $10 for Robitussin, $4 and $2 for Tylenol for a total of $26.00 back to use on other deals!
